Is Your Computer Good Enough For You

Old Computer Verse New Computer

Ask your self a couple of questions about your old computer.

  • How long have you had your computer?
  • Does it let you do the things that you need to do?
  • Does you PC still turn off and on without a problem
  • Is you mouse and keyboard still working?
  • What exactly are you using your computer for?

When you think about your old  computer there are many questions to ask.  Are main computers’ that we use are about 5 years old and it does everything we need them to do.  Old computers do exactly what they did when they were brand new,  A good computer will last a life time.   Personally we would rather have 2 old computers that work good than 1  brand new computer.  Right here Were talking about the same price for either or.  We no money is always tight especially when you have kids.  We know everybody wants their own computer because sharing isn’t the easiest thing to do.  Ask yourself when your thinking about buying a brand new computer is my old PC still good.  Before it broke down were you able to do what you wanted to do?  If yes the best thing for you to do would be to get it fixed and with that extra money that you will save buy a second used computer to use as a back up.

Should you pay for Virus Protection

Virus Protection, do you have any?

When you buy a new computer it usually comes with free virus protection for a year.  It usually takes a computer a little after the virus protection to run out before a person gets a virus.  At this point your files could be gone.  To prepare for this back up all your important files on an external hard drive.  The first thing you should ask yourself when you buy a new computer is will I be able to support it.  Everything cost money right nothing is free in life.  The second thing you need to ask yourself is do I really know what I’m doing when I’m on the internet and whats the primary purpose for my computer.  The last thing you should ask yourself is anything in life for free.  Think about these questions when you buy your computer and while you’re browsing the internet.  When you see something that tells you its free 8 times out of 10 it’s a virus.  Personally I love Norton 360 especially for people who computers break down every 60 days.  Backing up your important files on an external hard drive is the best way to make sure you will always have them.
